The purpose of FSY conferences is to help youth strengthen their faith in Heavenly Father and in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, and feel joy and belonging as they live the gospel by engaging in inspired learning opportunities and wholesome social experiences.
FSY is a full, five-day, overnight programme which begins on Monday morning and concludes early Saturday morning.
Young adults called to serve at FSY ensure the physical safety and promote the spiritual well-being of each participant attending FSY, especially the participants in the counsellor’s assigned group.
All FSY participants must:
• turn 14 no later than December 31st of the year they are attending
• still be aged 18 on 1st January of the year they are attending.
Youth of any religion may participate in FSY if they agree to keep the FSY Standards of Conduct (please see the Standards page on this website) and are expected to follow all principles taught in For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices
Youth are expected to show respect for themselves and others. They are to be polite and kind to all campus employees and other youth.
We encourage all youth to invite their friends who are not members of the Church to come to FSY.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strives to ensure that all within its reach feel valued and welcomed.
In keeping with this charge, FSY strives to accommodate youth with disabilities whenever it can safely do so.
Please contact your session administrators (see Contact page) to discuss any additional needs, preferably before registering.
